A3 is still media of all time for me and I don't know who I would be without it aND YET. How would I even explain A3 to someone who hasn't ever touched it? Please watch these youtube videos archiving this game. They contain some of the best found family you've ever seen but there's many many many hours of content and it was (and is, in japan only) a gacha game. It's constructed on the idea that you'll find the guys it's about hot and want to date them (not a dating sim tho, just a game aimed at women). Yes despite not wanting to date any of them it changed my life and will always be a part of me. It's about theater actors but there's also magic sometimes. One of them is a royal android. There was an assassination plot and an ongoing spy plot. This isn't the focus because most of the time it's a character study in loneliness and finding a place to belong, and every one of the season-themed subtroupes tackles this idea in a different way that will break your heart. It took me until main story part 2 to really get invested because Summer Troupe made me dive headfirst into obsession with it. I haven't caught up with it in years but I still think about it all the time. Why are you not invested yet.

There are a number of languages you can search for works in on AO3, including Eald Eanglisc of all things, but the one language on there that really throws me for a loop is...American Sign Language.

Like, is there even a video option on AO3 for this to be possible?

I once picked a really big fanfic collection to search for ASL fics in and the only one that categorized as ASL was *written* in English. No videofile too be seen.

The most you can do in ASL in writing is write English words with ASL syntax. But that's still not ASL. ASL does not have a written alphabet or syllabary.

Genuinely bewildered about how this came about. Can people just post something and write in an "other" language and AO3 just adds that language to the list of languages they have fics written in?

I can't think of any other way that this might've happened, and as much as I adore AO3, this is pretty problematic.

Keira McDaniel - Painter Extraordinaire, Gloomy, Maker, Music Lover A bit of a "tortured artist" character who enjoys spending hours painting/crafting in her studio with music playing constantly, blocking out the rest of the world. Keira is very sensitive, and feels the emotional weight of everything around her very intensely, channeling it into her art.

Joslyn Lancaster - Country Caretaker, Loves the Outdoors, Athletic, Glutton Joslyn is a very meat and potatoes kind of gal. She lives for the simple things in life, working the ranch, riding horses, and a good meal. It's never occurred to her that there might be more to life, and the world, outside of the ranch, because what more could she need?

Gabrielle "Gabby" Moran - Leader of the Pack, Insider, Snob, Cat Lover Gabby is a fine and polished young woman, growing up in a life of luxury, and the champion English rider in town. I know that in theory the blood of the dragons has already revived... but there was no darkness at the beggining of the manga. What happened to the castle and what is happening to the dragons is the darkness.

The darkness that falls upon the land is what has begun. The profecy is what has begun, the sword the shield.... too much hasn't happened yet!!

There will be a lot of heart-breaking chapters before, they'll bodies will wither away (and I'm not strong enough for that ; ;), but the red dragon shall restore the dawn at last. And hopefully we'll have our family back together at the end..... hopefully ; ;

Ok maybe I'm just in denial, I really need to think more about this and re-read some chapters.

i'm way too shy to post my own translations but i will say the gentaro solo, from my interpretation of the lyrics, is (as expected) about him gnawing on the bars of his cage regarding performing as his brother (we get a stella reference through "old falling sand" and then "i can't do this anymore") (also "i can't say anything, but i wonder if they've seen through me")

but something else i've gotten from it is that he isn't just being gen1.0 out of a sense of duty. i think it's comforting to him to feel like he has part of his brother with him in some way, it's like it's his safety blanket
